In August 2012, the Student Bar Association Board and Chief of Staff put forth goals to assure that the Board provides all law students with an efficient, effective, and responsive student government. We pledge to:
- make it easier for students to communicate with the Board by hosting regular town halls and open office hours;
- respond appropriately to every student concern;
- assure that all SBA events are planned far enough in advance to assure maximum organization and cost-savings;
- work with the Office of Career Services to ensure that OCS staff provide suitable services and resources for all students pursuing all lines of work, thereby encouraging students to take advantage of those resources;
- process all reimbursement requests within seventy-two hours of receipt;
- increase the number of family-friendly and non-alcoholic social events;
- streamline school-wide communications by utilizing the strengths of the SBA announcements system, e-mail, MyLaw, and the SBA website;
- provide students with a greater number of community service opportunities; and
- promote the good work of all student organizations.
